Creality Guide: Models, Compatibility & Common Issues

By Owen Hale
Last verified: · How we research

What our research found

  • Creality's official pages disagree on K2 Pro filament support: the K2 Pro support page lists TPU95A, while the K2 series comparison on the product page lists PLA/PETG/PET/ABS/ASA/PLA-CF/PA-CF/PPA-CF without TPU. We show both until Creality aligns them.
  • The K2 SE spec sheet lists TPU 95A as a compatible filament, but Creality's CFS compatibility page excludes all TPU from the CFS. In practice that means TPU on a K2 SE goes through the spool holder, not the CFS.
  • Only the K2 Pro and K2 Plus have active chamber heating, per Creality's K2 series buying guide; the base K2 lists no maximum chamber temperature.

How we chose

  • Models listed are those shown on Creality's official store or product pages on the Last verified date.
  • Specs come from Creality's own product, support and wiki pages; where two official pages disagree, we show both.
  • Filament compatibility follows Creality Wiki pages for each filament system (CFS and CFS Lite).
  • Prices are left out because Creality's store prices change often.

Buying framework

  1. Decide whether you need chamber heating — Creality says active chamber heating is only on the K2 Pro and K2 Plus, both rated to 60 °C. Its K2 Plus filament guide says ABS, ASA, PC and PA are prone to warping and that Creality Print enables chamber heating for them by default.
  2. Pick a build volume — The K2 series comes in 260, 300 and 350 mm cubed (K2, K2 Pro, K2 Plus). The K2 SE is smaller, at 220 x 215 x 245 mm.
  3. Check the filament system — K2 series and K2 SE printers work with the CFS, up to four units for 16 colors. Creality's CFS wiki excludes all TPU and moisture-softened PVA or BVOH from the CFS. The SPARKX i7's CFS Lite accepts harder TPU (77D and 64D) but not TPU 95A.
  4. Know which parts are model-specific — Creality says K2 Plus nozzles are only compatible with the K2 Plus, so check your exact model before buying spares.

Research note: every spec on this page comes from Creality’s own product, support, store and wiki pages. We do not test products ourselves, and we don’t list prices. See how we research.

K2 series and K2 SE at a glance

Model Build volume (mm) Max nozzle temp Max bed temp Max chamber temp Compatible filaments (as listed by Creality) Source
K2 SE 220 x 215 x 245 300 °C 100 °C Not listed PLA, PETG, TPU 95A, PLA-CF Store page [4]
K2 260 x 260 x 260 300 °C 100 °C Not listed PLA, PETG, PET, ABS, PLA-CF K2 series [1]
K2 Pro 300 x 300 x 300 300 °C 110 °C 60 °C PLA, PETG, PET, ABS, ASA, PLA-CF, PA-CF, PPA-CF (support page adds TPU95A) K2 series [1], support [3]
K2 Plus 350 x 350 x 350 350 °C 120 °C 60 °C PLA, PETG, PET, ABS, ASA, PLA-CF, PA-CF, PPA-CF K2 series [1]

Notes from Creality’s pages:

  • Chamber heating: Creality’s buying guide [2] says the heated chamber “is only for K2 Pro and K2 Plus”.
  • Multi-color: all three K2 series models pair with the CFS, up to 4 units for 16 colors. The Combo versions include one CFS (K2 series page [1]). The K2 SE also supports up to 4 CFS units (K2 SE store page [4]).
  • Frame: the K2 SE store page describes it as open-frame. We could not confirm the enclosure type of the other K2 models, because the frame row in Creality’s buying guide reads “Enclosed / Open Frame / Open Frame”, which contradicts the chamber-heating claims for the K2 Pro and K2 Plus. We have left frame type out of the table until Creality clarifies it.
  • Other models on sale: on the Last verified date, Creality’s flagship store page [5] also listed the K3, K1C 2025, K1 Max and K2 SE 4C. We will add them as we cover them.

Which filaments work in which Creality filament system

System Supported (per Creality) Not supported Source
CFS (K2 series, K2 SE) Most medium-hardness materials, such as PLA, PETG, ABS, PLA-CF, PET, ASA, HIPS, dry PVA and BVOH All TPU and other elastic materials; PVA or BVOH softened by moisture; deformed or undersized spools CFS wiki [6]
CFS Lite (SPARKX i7) PLA, PLA Silk, PLA-CF, PETG, PLA Glow; harder TPU such as 77D and 64D TPU 95A and softer, TPE, damp PVA, overly brittle filaments CFS Lite wiki [7]

Spool size also matters: Creality lists a spool diameter of 197–202 mm and a thickness of 42–68 mm for the CFS (CFS wiki [6]), and 195–202 mm diameter and 42–68 mm width for the CFS Lite (CFS Lite wiki [7]).

Fixes for common Creality problems

How we chose what to include

This hub starts with the K2 series and K2 SE because those are the models whose official spec, support and wiki pages we could open and cross-check on the Last verified date. Where two Creality pages give different values, we show both and say so. We left out prices and promotions.
